Leads are
not the
point.
Plenty of businesses generate enough enquiries and still do not grow. The leak is almost never at the top of the funnel. It is in what happens in the twenty minutes after the form is submitted.
- Capture, routing, follow up, nurture
- Response time
- Qualified enquiries and closed revenue
The expensive failure happens after the form.
A lead that waits four hours for a reply has usually already spoken to someone else. A lead that arrives in a shared inbox nobody owns is a lead that does not exist. A lead that gets one call and no follow up is a lead you paid for and threw away.
None of that shows up in a traffic report. The marketing looks like it failed, so budget moves to generating more leads, which makes the underlying problem larger and more expensive.
We have seen businesses double their effective lead volume without touching acquisition at all, simply by fixing routing and response time.
So we audit what happens after the enquiry before we recommend spending anything on getting more of them.
If follow up is the bottleneck, buying traffic is the worst available use of your money.
Fix the plumbing, then open the tap.
Capture first. Forms that ask for what is genuinely needed and nothing more, clear error states, working email delivery, a real confirmation, and submissions stored in a database rather than existing only as an email that might not arrive.
Then routing. Every enquiry needs an owner, a response time target and a visible status. Where there is a CRM we wire it properly; where there is not, we will tell you whether you actually need one or whether a disciplined inbox would do.
Then nurture. Most enquiries are not ready to buy on the day they arrive, and the businesses that win are the ones still politely present six weeks later.
Qualification matters too. More leads of the wrong kind makes a sales team slower, not busier.
We would rather send you thirty enquiries that fit than ninety that do not.
Deliverables.
Enquiry audit
We submit test enquiries through every route on your site and track what actually happens to them, including whether the notification email survives spam filtering.
Form and capture rebuild
Fields reduced to what is needed, server side validation, accessible labels, spam protection that does not block real people, and submissions stored so nothing can be silently lost.
Routing and ownership
Every enquiry type assigned an owner, a target response time and a status, wired into your CRM where one exists.
Follow up sequences
Email and where appropriate SMS sequences for the enquiries that do not convert immediately, with exit conditions so nobody gets chased after they have bought.
Qualification
Criteria that let your team spend time on the enquiries worth having, applied at capture rather than after the call.
Reactivation
A structured approach to the enquiries already sitting in your system that were never properly worked.
How lead work runs.
Diagnose
Test enquiries through every route, response times measured, and the existing pipeline examined for where enquiries stop moving.
Capture
Forms, delivery, storage and spam protection fixed so that an enquiry made is an enquiry received.
Route
Ownership and response targets set, CRM wired, notifications tested end to end rather than assumed.
Nurture
Sequences built for the enquiries that need time, with genuine content rather than four reminders to book a call.
Measure
Qualified enquiries and, where your data allows, closed revenue traced back to source.
Straight answers.
How fast does follow up need to be?
Faster than your competitors, which in most trades means minutes rather than hours. We would rather measure your actual current response time first and set a target you can genuinely hold than quote an industry figure at you.
Do I need a CRM?
Not necessarily. A small team with clear ownership and a disciplined process can outperform a badly configured CRM. We will tell you honestly whether the tool is the problem or the process is.
Will spam protection block real enquiries?
Badly implemented, yes, and that is a far more expensive failure than receiving spam. We use layered protection that is invisible to genuine visitors, and we test that real submissions still get through before calling it done.
Can you tell me which marketing produced which customer?
Partially, and honestly rather than optimistically. Multi touch journeys and privacy rules mean perfect attribution does not exist. We can tell you what each channel is associated with, where the uncertainty sits, and what that means for budget.
What if my enquiry volume is already fine?
Then we work on quality and conversion instead of volume, which is usually the better return anyway.
